Community Outreach

Military Liasion

November is Native American Heritage Month, so we are often called upon for a  Native American Indian drum performance with  dancers, singers and/or a speaker throughout November. We are pleased to work in collaboration with our military community to provide  a  presentation based upon your needs.  It's best to contact us mid-September  to schedule the best possible dates and times for performances and presentations.

Education

In addition to performing for the military community, we enjoy sharing Native American Indian storytelling for students in preschool and elementary  school on Oahu. We are also fortunate to be working with the University of Hawaii - West  Oahu students on an internship basis to provide and teach an awareness and understanding about Native American Indian culture. To schedule a Native storytelling session for your class, please email your request to oic808.info@gmail.com.

Classes & Community Outreach

Throughout the year we look for opportunites  to share our culture within our community and have recently started a Native beading class!  In the future we plan on adding regalia making classes, doll-making, and basket weaving along with drum & flute making workshops.  Stay tuned & check our calendar  for updates.
In addition, we also find ourselves called upon to offer a  prayer song or blessing for our  American Indian elders or families in the community.  Many may be home or in the hospital from illness and may want the comfort or company from other local Native American Indians.  P
lease let us know if we may be of assistance to you. Email your request to oic808.info@gmail.com.
